Mail message Help From: echristian@webtv.net (Elizabeth Christian) Date: Mon, Sep 18, 2000, 8:10am To: chas.webb@excite.com Cc: echristian@webtv.net Subject: Still had this picture stored ..old email..thought I would pass it on I am attaching the letter to somebody else and photo (if you can see it) because it says a lot of things I would have written anyhow.... Now...the International Dolls.....(and still don't have a souvenir doll from Scotland..will get one, maybe in person) Have really gotten into this inernational doll collection thing with both feet...but just purchased a book about international dolls that confirms my selections. The we page is a place to organize all the stuff...it may or may not be used. Got books to go with the First Lady dolls, and found myself reading Ronald Reagan's autobiography yesterday, and actually admiring the man. I have so many boxes now with all these Ebay things....Send me an address and I will pass on a book which you can then pass on yourself ...you don't have to read it. A kind of book cluby thing....experiment in penpalling. Am thinking about giving the NZ books to friends from New Zealand who might really appreciate them....I brought home a whole library....histories of the hospital, library, schools, and lovely sketch books of lflowers, etc.

Wondering how your daughter's career is progressing. Plotted out a trip around the world last week..actually have spotted hostels, cybercafes (One cybercafe owner in Africa answered my email) and transit systems....It costs about 1500 to do it...stops in London, Athens, Cairo, Kenya, Bombay, Bancock, and Hong Kong. Have a Hong Kong penpal, a library school studeht I wrote to for 2 years who has actually moved there. How does it sound ? I had thought about taking a year, but that seems a bit long. Maybe make it 6 months. I am also interesting in a session at the London School of Journalism... Been reading about our Medicaid system....crazy, but could spend down my retirement, have a good time, and then when I ended up in a nursing home...will probably ultimately break a hip, let's face it...just go on Medicaid because of low income...... Wow....

They let you keep your house...sell the condo and my other house and put the money together to buy a rather spiffy one....but then the condo suits me.... It is a Sony digital camera that takes floppy discs...and now there is one that actually records on a CD-ROM. Do a web search and check it out.... I was on the plane coming back from Disneyland with family back in February 1998..and read about it..and bought one the next day. It was almost $900.00 then...price for that model has dropped to about $500.00.but the great features were 1.) recharable litium battery and 2.) stores on a floppy disc. That model would not connect to video..so had to load into a real computer (have one at work), but I purchased the improved version the summer and it will.

The resolution of course is still not what a regular camera is..but getting there.l I dont't see why anyone wants to fool with cords....At some point I will probably buy the one with the CD.... There is a whole web ring by Mavica users...we are kind of webtvish..a bit of a breed of our own.. E

I am going to work this afternoon...but while on the reference desk am actually probably going to work on my web page. below.... Want another photo ? The camera is hook up.....

This is some of the art at our Doraville rapid transit station. Since I use MARTA on a daily basis I take a lot of photos..started a web page on Tripod..one of my first "hats on MARTA"..if I can find it I will forward it to you. Amazing...people in cars don't wear hats as much...

The Linburg station is fantastic...will forward some of these..has colored glass in the ceiling and light come through and does stained glass stuff on people..they turn the color they are walking through. Yes, really amazing... Later, E http://members.tripod.com/~lucylucydear/Myinternationaldolls.html
