I purchased this set of dolls in an unidentified lot of dolls on Ebay, but they appear to be Mexican to me.

Mexican lady mother with baby and basket What a great doll this is! I am fascinated by her wood-slatted basket and 2 pottery utensils hanging from her back. She carries the baby on the front, out of the way. Her face is pottery, painted in a cartoonish way, with an oilcloth body. She wears leather sandles, woven skirt and serape. 1940s or so. Part of a great older collection of regional dolls up at auction
