ANGELICA SINGLETON VAN BURAN #1004 is the fourth doll in the series of FIRST LADIES by SUZANNE GIBSON & the SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION by REEVES INTERNATIONAL. This lovely 12" vinyl doll is from the SIGNATURE COLLECTION from 1986 and is signed on the tag that is sewn into the dress by the artist. All of the dolls of the first ladies of the American presidents are dressed in gowns which were based on the Collection of Dresses of the First Ladies in the National Museum of American History at the Smithsonian. American Tradition "First Lady Series" by Brinn's. She is Angelica Van Buren--Administration: Martin Van Buren (1837-1841). Angelica Van Buren was the daughter-in-law and hostess of the widower President. The royal blue gown she wore had a long trail and a hoop skirt. An ostrich plume in her dark hair, jewel in her headress, fan and lace shawl completed a regal look. On the back of her neck she is marked LIMITED EDITION BRINN'S 1987 #4074/19,500. She is in mint condition and just beautiful. She also has a cameo to keep her shawl on. She has her Certificate of Authenticity #4074/19,500 I purchased this doll August 2000
